David Katz

Dr. David Katz received graduate degrees from The Peabody Conservatory of Music and undergraduate degrees from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is also a fully certified Orff-Schulwerk instructor. Currently, he is in his nineteenth year as the K-5 music teacher at Braden
River Elementary School in Bradenton, Florida. He has served as piano accompanist for the Florida All-State Elementary Chorus and on numerous occasions, has served as conductor and piano accompanist for the Manatee County (Florida) All-County Festival Chorus and Orff
Ensemble. A pianist, singer and vocal coach in the Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida area, Dr. Katz is also the music director at Suncoast MCC Church in Venice, Florida, an LGBTQIA+ affirming congregation. Before Suncoast MCC, Dr. Katz was the music director at the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater. During his tenure there, the choir he directed was honored to sing in concert at Carnegie Hall.
