Allen Choromiec

Allen has been teaching Music with Black Gold School District for 25 years, having previously taught with Edmonton Public Schools. A University of Alberta alumnus, he began as a band teacher who reinvented himself as an Elementary Music specialist triggered by the grade reconfiguration of his school. He is passionate about Music education, especially in school settings and works to get the most out of his students. In 2015-16 he teamed up with Denise Gagne to introduce the print edition of Musicplay's Ukulele resource at two Teachers' Conventions in the Edmonton area. He brings a wealth of experience to the elementary classroom, and wants to share his knowledge and experience to encourage other Music teachers in their profession.
